Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation Shade Light 45

I love love long wearing foundations I want my foundation too look good from 8:30am when I put it on to 9:00pm when I wash it off. So when I got a sample of Kat Von D Lock it I thought it would for sure be holy grail status, it started off a little bit rocky I really couldn't get it to blend using my Beauty Blender so I switched to a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush dampened with Fix + and then it worked really well and the color match was probably the best match I have ever had it looked really good on my T zone but a little dry looking on my cheeks but a spray of Fix+ fixed that and it wore all day long but were just not made for each other, I'm thinking it is so thick my skin couldn't breath and it made my forehead itch and broke out my chin. If you have naturally oily skin that isn't sensitive then this will be really good for you. I didn't think to take any pic of the foundation on my face lol.

Kat Von D Everlasting Blush in Wish

I have been really wanting to try something from the Kat Von D Line. I saw swatches of her blushes and fell in love with Wish and Bellisima, and life went on and I kind of forgot about them and I saw a picture of Shenae Grimes Beech she had such a warm peach colored that glowed on her cheeks I Had to get that same look and after some research and lots of swatches it brought me back to Kat Von D's blush in Wish. Its cruelty free easily accessible and a good price so I had to buy it lol. Wish is a warm cantaloupe color with a subtle sheen. Its has great pigmentation and has a great wear time, its packaging is way cute. Sephora and Kat did such a good job with theses blushes it just makes me want to try more from her line.

Sephora Disney Ariel Collection

 

I jumped on this compact so fast it wasn't even funny! I have the Cinderella and Jasmine and I love all of them so much each one for different reasons. I love Cinderella because of the front, its a clock and for some reason I love clocks, Jasmine is just so exotic, and Ariel is a mermaid which who doesn't want to be a mermaid and lets be honest prince Eric is hot. This Compact is called the Set the Mood compact. Its Prince Eric and Ariel about to kiss in the boat with blue greens and turquoise swirl and beautiful Seaweed. On the inside the compact it says You've got to be you. as of right now I think it might be a compass design how the Cinderella compact is a clock I haven't noticed that till this second lol. I really love the Sephora Disney collaboration On the press video for Ariel it said that this would be the last collection and I really don't think that's true because on the first press release it said there would be 5 collections Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle and Aurora. The Lorac Pro Palette

 

I really love Lorac eyeshadows I have two singles from a set I bought a couple years ago and there great one of them is the same color as Mac's Satin Taupe but way more pigmented, silky, smooth, its a great shadow, so when I first saw the Lorac Pro Palette I was instantly drawn to it I waited a long time to pick it up I really wanted to researched it just to make sure it was all that I hoped it would be, and it is! Its absolutely wonderful. Their is 16 shadows 8 mattes and 8 shimmer shades from white all the way to black some great jewel toned shades you could make the simplest matte barely there look to a full blown black smokey eye. I love to use Taupe, Sable and Espresso to make a great matte brown smokey eye I also like Taupe in the crease and Pewter on my lid for a great polished quick look. The packaging is beautiful but I'm afraid that if I took this on a trip with me that it really wouldn't protect the shadows from breaking. The palette also came with the Lorac Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer which I was excited to try cause I have only tried Mac Paint and Urban Decay Primer Potion both those primer work great for me but I wanted to try a different primer the Lorac primer sucked my lids aren't oily so I don't really crease anyway but only after and hour of wearing the primer under my shadows I creased so bad, even worse than without primer. Which sucks but I still have my other primers which play well with theses shadows so that's cool. Even though the primer didn't work for me I just want you all to know that your mileage my very on these type of cosmetic products just like how you may love a certain type of chap stick and your friend my hate it so please keep that in mind.

My Favorite Lip Gloss Revlon Color Burst

 

 

I love these lip glosses so much they're super smooth not sticky pigmented and there is a ton of product in the tube for a great price. The nude pink shade is called Bellini I like this shade to add shine to my lips or give me a nice pouty lip. I recently bought the bright orangey pinky shade called Killer Watt I though this shade was gonna be really bright and full on but really its a great everyday lip color it limited edition for there summer collection and I think everyone should owns this lip gloss I want to pick up a second one.

Ke$ha Die Young Music Video Smokey Eye Tutorial

First of I just have to say I love Ke$ha I love what she stands for I love that shes a party girl and doesn't try to hide It even love that gold tooth of hers. I really love how her makeup artist have been doing her makeup lately fuller coverage foundation nice warm sheer bronze glow and peachy bronze blush defined brows and usually some sort of smokey eye and nude warm pinky lip. My kind of makeup.

 

So first of this is a party or going out look so your gonna wanna do whatever means necessary to pro long the wear of your makeup and the fist step to do that hydrated skin even if its oily let that really sink into your skin I let mine settle for like 30 mins, second is to have primed skin so use your favorite or whatever you have on hand I'm gonna use Philosophy The Present makeup primer the directions say to let this primer sit for about 5 mins so once its settled apply a more fuller coverage foundation like Revlon color stay liquid or whipped or Kat Von D Lock It Foundation I think I'm gonna use Kat Von D and apply it with my Beauty Blender but if you want an even fuller coverage use a flat top kabuki style brush. For concealer I'm gonna use the same one for under eyes and blemishes which is my HG Hard Candy Glamoflauge in the shade light. I'm gonna set my whole face with Sephora MicroSmooth face powder in the shade 15 Nude. I'm also using darker shades of the MicroSmooth powder to bronze and contour I'm gonna contour using the shade 56 Mahogany and using 35 Bronze to warm up my face and get a little bit of color, for blush I'm using Kat Von D's Everlasting Blush in Wish just use a little bit to get a really nice flush, and for my favorite the highlighter I am using Illamasqua Gleam in Aurora any type cream highlighter will do the trick. Now for the eyes!! I fill in my brows first to help shape my eyes, use an eyeshadow primer and I set my primer with shadow to help with skipping. Ill be using 4 shadows 2 from the pallet above and 2 Urban Decay the 2 from the pallet is the purple from the third row to the right and the medium warm brown from the fifth row from the right and the third pot from the bottom I will be using Naked and Walk of Shame shadows from UD. The first shadow is Naked and your gonna wanna really buff this in to your eye socket take it kinda high up using a big fluffy blending brush. The second step is to blend the medium warm brown and blend this in your deep crease right in the skin fold use a small square goat hair type blending brush blend this up just a little little bit and blend it down onto the lid and lower lash line as well. Now take the vibrant deep purple and apply it to the lid using a small flat synthetic shadow brush and pat the color onto the lid keep it out the the crease and buff it very close to the lower lash line reapply the deep crease color just a touch to merge all the colors together pat more purple if it looses some vibrancy just finish up with a light matte skin tone colored brow bone color like Walk of Shame. For the eyeliner just apply a matte black gel liner in a small thin line on the lash line, water line and tight line to create a very dark rim around the eye. Apply lots of mascara or false lashes if you want. Ke$ha's lip color is similar to Nars Borelo or Macs Pure Zen. So that's it its a fast look to apply just lots of small steps to create this look. I love this look very much on my fair skin with blue eyes. 

Benifit They're Real VS. Revlon 3D Volume Mascara

I love long full almost spider lag eyelashes and Benefit's They're Real gave me that plus it was long lasting. The only down fall is the price I don't mind paying for expensive foundation and skin care but 23 dollars for mascara is so outrageous I can't I just can't justify paying that so my search started for a drug store version of They're Real it needs to be cheap, cruelty free and just as good as They're Real. So I did alot of research reading other blogs, reviews on youtube and Makeupally. After alot of reading I decided to pick up Revlon 3D volume and it is 80% perfect it has a rubber bristle brush like They're real 3D Volume feels a little bit more flimsy and just a little bit smaller the wand and the spikes and doesn't last as long but it gives me the same effect as They're Real and 3D volume is supper black which is important to me. 3D Volume is 8 dollars as were They're is 23 that's a 15 dollar difference. So all in all Revlon 3d volume is an A+ in my book and will repurchase time and time again.
