September favorites

I had such a good September! It was my birthday and the weather was cooling off so it was actually nice to spend time outside. I have a few favorites time month about 6 this month which it quite different than last months were I think I had more then 10 lol.  And I know this is going up way late I just got really busy with work and school and I thought better late than never.

1.   My fist favorite is were we went on my birthday. our fist stop was Namies Beauty supply. second stop was defiantly different I went to American Horror Story Season 1 the house they shot the TV show at which is totally creepy but supper fun.

2. Number two is my new makeup bag I bought off Amazon its actually from Urban Decay it came out two Christmases ago. I wanted it but it sold out before I could buy one. I was shopping at Amazon and saw that one was for sale brand new with tags for $14.99 so I jumped on that so quick.

3. My number three is another item I bought off Amazon a nail polish which I had originally saw off the App Wanelo. it was China glaze Concrete Catwalk its a crème finish that's a dark grey almost black.

4. number four I have already talked about and that is my makeup geek shadows. which by the way I have order and received more of them.

5. Five is a new product for me it is from the company Cover Fx and it there blot powder. I love it so much I will repurchase over and over again.

6. Six is a non makeup related favorite it is 30 seconds to Mars's Jared Leto singing a cover of Rihanna's Stay I first heard it from the I heart radion concert that played on TV and then again on the youtube channel Live Lounge.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow review and Swatches Part 1

Tonight I'm going to do a quick review of the 4 Makeup Geek eyeshadows I bought. I bought Purely Naked, crème Brule, Cocoa Bear and Latte. I totally believe that these shadows are just as good if not better than my Mac shades they're so smooth and really pigmented. I can't compare them to Urban Decay because I think that UD make the best shimmer shades available but I am ordering more MUG and some are shimmer so I compare them then. Lets be honest $5.99 for great quality, great customer service, made in the USA and Cruelty free I'm having a hard time finding a reason to note buy more MUG products.

At first glance you'll see that all the shadows I bought are very warm in tone and that Purely Naked and Crème Brule are very similar really the only difference I see in them are that Purely Naked is just a touch lighter and has a light sparkle to it were Crème Brule is totally matte. I like this in my crease even though it has a little bit of a sparkle. It doesn't skip at all and blend like a dream.

Crème Brule is a warm mid tone caramel matte brown. For me its just a little bit to warm for a crease color but it is a great staple color. It would probably be a great crease color for someone darker than me I'm super pale.

Cocoa Bear is a really red toned brown. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I bought this shadow but I am still trying to figure out my favorite way to use Cocoa Bear.

This next shadows I think might become one of my all time favorites. Its a great darker crease color kind of like Urban Decay Buck or Lorac Taupe but maybe a little bit more red. I love this color under my eyes to really define it.

Here are some swatches from left to right: Purely Naked, Crème Brule, Latte and Cocoa Bear.

Makeup Geek Gel Liner in Immortal

There are a few big differences between the Mac and Makeup Geek Gel Liners. Mac's gel liner is called Blacktrack. Makeup Geek is called Immortal which I think is cooler only because I like supernatural kind of things.
  1. Makeup Geek has 1.8 grams while Mac is 1.5 grams.
  2. Makeup Geek is cruelty free and Mac is not.
  3. I would say they are both the same shade of black.
  4. Essence Beauty which is sold at Ulta is 3 grams is really hard to remove and dries out really quick it is only $4.99 I think.
  5. I find that Makeup Geek is a little hard to remove.
  6. But the main difference is that the Mac gel liner cost $16.00 with annual price increases while Makeup Geek is $7.99.
