5 Products I miss

There are a few products I really miss using because there not cruelty free I am trying to find dupes for theses product.

1.) Mac face and Body Foundation in C2.
I realy loved this foundation good color match but it just really worked well with my skin. If my skin was really clear I would use just a little bit or if my skin was bad I could cover them completely. It was super shiny on the skin but a good setting powder would combat that.

2.) Mac Blacktrack Fluid Line.
Super black and great staying power even on the water line.

3.) Mac Pure Zen Lipstick.
my holy grail pink nude lipstick. It looks so natural and doesn't make my teeth yellow.

4.) L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black.
Super black volumizing mascara which you would think would be easy to dupe but no luck.

5.) L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush.
Super sparkly rose gold shade that make my blue green eyes really pop and makes me look awake.

September favorites

I had such a good September! It was my birthday and the weather was cooling off so it was actually nice to spend time outside. I have a few favorites time month about 6 this month which it quite different than last months were I think I had more then 10 lol.  And I know this is going up way late I just got really busy with work and school and I thought better late than never.

1.   My fist favorite is were we went on my birthday. our fist stop was Namies Beauty supply. second stop was defiantly different I went to American Horror Story Season 1 the house they shot the TV show at which is totally creepy but supper fun.

2. Number two is my new makeup bag I bought off Amazon its actually from Urban Decay it came out two Christmases ago. I wanted it but it sold out before I could buy one. I was shopping at Amazon and saw that one was for sale brand new with tags for $14.99 so I jumped on that so quick.

3. My number three is another item I bought off Amazon a nail polish which I had originally saw off the App Wanelo. it was China glaze Concrete Catwalk its a crème finish that's a dark grey almost black.

4. number four I have already talked about and that is my makeup geek shadows. which by the way I have order and received more of them.

5. Five is a new product for me it is from the company Cover Fx and it there blot powder. I love it so much I will repurchase over and over again.

6. Six is a non makeup related favorite it is 30 seconds to Mars's Jared Leto singing a cover of Rihanna's Stay I first heard it from the I heart radion concert that played on TV and then again on the youtube channel Live Lounge.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow review and Swatches Part 1

Tonight I'm going to do a quick review of the 4 Makeup Geek eyeshadows I bought. I bought Purely Naked, crème Brule, Cocoa Bear and Latte. I totally believe that these shadows are just as good if not better than my Mac shades they're so smooth and really pigmented. I can't compare them to Urban Decay because I think that UD make the best shimmer shades available but I am ordering more MUG and some are shimmer so I compare them then. Lets be honest $5.99 for great quality, great customer service, made in the USA and Cruelty free I'm having a hard time finding a reason to note buy more MUG products.

At first glance you'll see that all the shadows I bought are very warm in tone and that Purely Naked and Crème Brule are very similar really the only difference I see in them are that Purely Naked is just a touch lighter and has a light sparkle to it were Crème Brule is totally matte. I like this in my crease even though it has a little bit of a sparkle. It doesn't skip at all and blend like a dream.

Crème Brule is a warm mid tone caramel matte brown. For me its just a little bit to warm for a crease color but it is a great staple color. It would probably be a great crease color for someone darker than me I'm super pale.

Cocoa Bear is a really red toned brown. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I bought this shadow but I am still trying to figure out my favorite way to use Cocoa Bear.

This next shadows I think might become one of my all time favorites. Its a great darker crease color kind of like Urban Decay Buck or Lorac Taupe but maybe a little bit more red. I love this color under my eyes to really define it.

Here are some swatches from left to right: Purely Naked, Crème Brule, Latte and Cocoa Bear.

Makeup Geek Gel Liner in Immortal

There are a few big differences between the Mac and Makeup Geek Gel Liners. Mac's gel liner is called Blacktrack. Makeup Geek is called Immortal which I think is cooler only because I like supernatural kind of things.
  1. Makeup Geek has 1.8 grams while Mac is 1.5 grams.
  2. Makeup Geek is cruelty free and Mac is not.
  3. I would say they are both the same shade of black.
  4. Essence Beauty which is sold at Ulta is 3 grams is really hard to remove and dries out really quick it is only $4.99 I think.
  5. I find that Makeup Geek is a little hard to remove.
  6. But the main difference is that the Mac gel liner cost $16.00 with annual price increases while Makeup Geek is $7.99.

Makeup Geek Haul

As an early birthday present to myself I decided to haul some Makeup Geek Eye shadows and Gel Liner. I have been hearing so many good things about Marlena's products I have finally decided to buy some and test drive them myself. I have really only swatched the shadows I will be doing a review and hopefully a look in the next few days. But until then I will share what I bought.

Well start off with the Makeup Geek Gel Eyeliner In Immortal. on a quick swatch with an eyeliner brush and its super black and opaque it dries after a couple seconds and it is set I ran my finger over the swatch a couple times and no smudging at all.

The first shadow I picked out the Purely Naked which is a dupe for Mac Texture. After swatching it I got so excited to use it, it is a light warm Carmel with just a pinch of shimmer.

Crème Brulee is a great warm light medium brown it is matte I think it might be to warm and dark for me personally cause I'm pale and I'm only going to get paler in the coming months but you never know maybe it will look really good.

next is another Mac dupe and it is Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear and it dupe is Swiss Chocolate. Like Swiss Chocolate it is a very red warm medium brown. what I like about this shadow is I don't own anything like it so I know ill use it.

Latte is such a cool color its a medium dark neutral brown not to warm or cool in the pan you can see just the slightest bits of shimmer but on the skin you don't see them which im happy about I wanted it to be matte.

SO stay tuned form my review with swatches and a look using the shadows.

August 2013 Favorites

Yeah! August favorites and boy oh boy do I have a lot of favorites! Other and August being really really hot even for Southern California in summer it was just supper hot and humid NASTY, it was just a good month I started a new job and school again so I'm exited. So even though I had a great month I am super ready for September well because it my birthday month! alright lets get these faves going.

First favorite is my Revlon Color Stay for Dry skin in 150 Buff. I have bought so many bottles of this foundation I will try other foundations and like them but I always seem to come back to this one. Its just works really well with my skin type.

I have been using my Lorac Pro Palette so much I kind of forgot about my Urban Decay shadows especially the shade Toasted I love this shade I really think its a Holy Grail shade for me I love it on my Blue Green eyes. Its a great new penny antique bronze shade it really unique.

Ooh my third fave it my new blush which honestly I've worn it everyday sense I purchased it and it is Kat Von D Everlasting Blush in Wish. Gosh there is nothing I would change about this blush it makes me glow! I just have so much love for this product.

My third fave is a necessity in my life I have such dry lips I need lip balm on all day. So this one is the absolute best in my book and it is Blistex Moisture Melt. So hydrating and glossy love it.

I have been wearing this next favorite a lot this month it just gives me a really healthy look and it is a lip combination of Mac Pure Zen Lipstick and Revlon Killer Watt. The mix of the natural warm nude pink and the bright warm pick just blends together really well.

My next favorite makes me happy and sad at the same time it makes me happy cause it makes me smell so good but it makes me sad because its no longer made. Its my True Religion perfume it sweat and spicy and just smells so good and lets be honest the bottle is beautiful.

These next favorites are like clothes and accessories which I typically don't do but I just love all of these so much I had to share! First off is my new scarf I love scarfs and this one is my favorite I bought it for ten dollars at Wet Seal and if I do say so myself its so me lol its two of my favorite prints its lace and leopard most of the scarfs I own are like the one long piece of fabric and this one is an infinity scarf which I really enjoy.

I bought a new purse at then end of July and have been totally loving it is a black leather Steve Madden. To me it looks like a saddle bag you would see of the side of a Harley Davidson. Its big enough for my Kindle, sunglasses, wallet and little bag of head phones IPod stuff like that. The best part is I bought it on sale at Ross for like half the original price. please don't mind the cat paws in the Jeffrey was sound asleep and I didn't have the hart to move him.

Next is a great hybrid wallet I picked up at Target I am a pass holder at Disneyland and I bought this to take with me cause it has a strap to make it a wristlit but to me the best part is it has a slot for my phone. I decided on the oxblood color because I thought if I set it down I would see it better and not loose it.

Last but not least is my new sunglasses that I'm completely obsessed with I bought them at Tilly's for nine fifty they were supper cheap. There kinda big frames that are a little bit of a cat eye shape that fade from black to clear.

Alright that's it for me and this super long list of Favorites.

Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation Shade Light 45

I love love long wearing foundations I want my foundation too look good from 8:30am when I put it on to 9:00pm when I wash it off. So when I got a sample of Kat Von D Lock it I thought it would for sure be holy grail status, it started off a little bit rocky I really couldn't get it to blend using my Beauty Blender so I switched to a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush dampened with Fix + and then it worked really well and the color match was probably the best match I have ever had it looked really good on my T zone but a little dry looking on my cheeks but a spray of Fix+ fixed that and it wore all day long but were just not made for each other, I'm thinking it is so thick my skin couldn't breath and it made my forehead itch and broke out my chin. If you have naturally oily skin that isn't sensitive then this will be really good for you. I didn't think to take any pic of the foundation on my face lol.
